The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics office.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts including: Electronics enclosures and packaging mobile platforms machined and sheet metal parts 3D printed parts.
Contribute to program planning risk mitigation and requirements development.
Collaborate with a team of engineers technicians and program staff to deliver unique solutions on time.
Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.
Basic Qualifications
Masters degree in related field
2 years of applicable experience or internships
Mechanical design experience
3D CAD and 2D drawing experience
Handson experience with electromechanical systems
Must possess active DOE Q security clearance.
Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque NM area.
Preferred Qualifications
SolidWorks CAD and 2D drawing experience
Experience working at a DOE facility
Hands on assembly and test of prototypes
EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience
Static FEA and thermal analysis experience

Pay Range $67600.00 $122200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
