Overview
The Junior Data Analyst plays a crucial role in an organization by transforming data into actionable insights to support decisionmaking processes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and cleaning data from different sources.
- Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns.
- Support the development of dashboards and data visualization reports.
- Collaborate with team members to define data requirements.
- Prepare and present findings to stakeholders and management.
- Utilize Excel SQL and other tools for data manipulation.
- Perform routine data quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Generate adhoc reports as requested by management.
- Document data processes and methodologies for future reference.
- Work with larger datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Support research projects by providing data analyses.
- Maintain data integrity across various systems.
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement based on data insights.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project statuses and findings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Data Science Statistics Mathematics or related field.
- Experience with SQL and database management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with statistical software (e.g. R Python or SAS).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Internship or project experience in data analytics preferred.
- Proactive approach to problemsolving and critical thinking.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) is a plus.
- Understanding of business intelligence concepts.
