Job Description

Role:
The Human Resources Generalist at Radiant Credit Union is responsible for assisting and supporting the Director of People & Culture in all facets of Employee Relations including employee advocacy performance coaching recruiting and employee engagement activities. This role is key to supporting our employees and our membership by contributing to a positive peoplecentered workplace culture. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daytoday recruiting efforts within the organization including management of job descriptions and company job board. Assists with external recruiting efforts including maintaining relationships with schools associations etc. Represents the organization in interviews and at job fairs. Ensures all candidates receive excellent communication throughout recruiting and onboarding process.

  • In conjunction the Director of People & Culture and Employee Engagement Committee leads employee engagement activities for the Credit Union. Shares responsibility for planning and communication of engagement surveys activities and action planning. Acts as a liaison between the committee and management with the goal of increasing engagement in the organization.

  • Conducts onboarding activities including new hire onboarding and background investigations. Administers system user access with IS Operations Accounting and Training for new hires and position changes. Maintains confidential employee information.

  • Conducts exit and stay interviews summarizes findings and discusses trends and concerns with management.

  • Assists Director of People & Culture with employee relations issues as needed assisting employees and management with performance concerns disciplinary action and conflict management issues.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
ExperienceThree years to five years of experience working in a Human Resources or Employee Coaching and Engagement or related experience.
Education1 A bachelors degree or 2 achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelors degree (e.g. PHR SHRMCP).
Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating influencing and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills Strong written and oral communication skills. Previous experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift or move 30 lbs.
Work Environment Typical office/cubical environment. May travel throughout branch network from time to time.
