Job Description

Are you a detailoriented and organised individual with a passion for numbers and administration If so wed love to hear from you. We are seeking a Finance and Payroll Administrator to join our dedicated team. In this role you will provide vital finance and business administrative support to our school helping ensure smooth and efficient operations that directly support our staff and students.

Abbey School is an Independent Special School based in Chester for children and young people with complex learning difficulties.

  • Hours:37.5 hours per week some element of flexibility on hours and days depending on the business needs of the school.
  • Salary:increases considered annually within the salary range.
  • Start Date:As soon as possible.
  • Closing date for applications: 9am 22nd April 2025.
  • Interview date: Tuesday 29th April 2025.

There is the possibility of some hours to be worked from home following probation period.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers for the school processing into Xero accounts package.
  • Supporting the School Business Manager with accounting transactions and reports.
  • Responsible for payroll administration.
  • Processing purchase orders from requisitions.
  • Processing supplier invoices.
  • Payroll responsibilities.
