Brandeis seeks to hire a temporary Grant Accountant in Central Finance. This position is 35 hours a week for approximately 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:
Performs post audit of grant expense activity to ensure compliance with regulations. Performs grant related postaward functions according to the terms and conditions of the sponsor including but not limited to budget and expense analysis monthly invoicing letter of credit cash draws and quarterly reporting financial reporting labor distribution changes effort reporting and rebudgeting according to sponsor terms and regulations.
Administers the establishment of new grant and contract awards into the university accounting system.
Administers cash flow for sponsored accounts. Monitors recovery of F&A and accounts receivable balances.
Responsible for responding to department questions or requests for information investigating problems and issues that arise with grant data.
Supports a positive and constructive relationship between various personnel and departments.
Required Skills:
Solid understanding of federal/University grant operations and knowledge of relevant sponsor regulations.
Strong computer skills particularly analytical skills strong attention to detail ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with Workday Finance/Grants preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A customercentric mindset with a genuine desire to assist others.
A collaborative spirit thriving within teamoriented settings.
Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA/equivalent required
35 years of finance accounting or grant administration experience preferably in an academic or research environment.
Familiarity with computerized systems is required.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
