Overview:

The IT Architecture Manager will report to the Director of Network Solutions and Services and provide the expertise and leadership to drive innovation within the network tower of IT for the purposes of meeting the needs of HP business units IT stakeholders and 3rd party partners. The leadership provided by the successful candidate will create industryleading IT services that directly support end users and businesses.

The IT Architecture Manager role is responsible for managing a team of talented engineers and architects who collectively are tasked with managing technical solutions offered to interna HP stakeholders. In this role you will be focused on driving your team through the complete technical lifecycle of network solutions including requirements gathering initial investigations market benchmarking proofofconcept financial evaluation and proposal final solution recommendation implementation and portions of ongoing support and maintenance. Focused mostly on the network space this role will require engagement with application teams business owners and compute/storage leaders. The IT Architecture Manager is a mix of strategic tactical and operational with responsibilities in all three areas. The ideal candidate will be effective executing duties relative to longterm strategic initiatives shortterm tactical activities and asneeded support actions. This role is expected to work in lockstep with multiple teams and will need to foster relationships across multiple HP business units for the purposes of understanding business technical and security related requirements for shortterm and longterm development.

Accountabilities:

The ideal applicant should have business and financial insight technical proficiency a cooperative spirit and be a proactive initiator with excellent communication leadership and organizational skills. They must be capable of working with various groups at once and excel in a rapidly changing international setting.

  • Work closely with Engineering Operations Employee Experience and CyberSecurity organizations to successfully deploy worldclass solutions within our IT environment

  • Shape and deliver next generation network solutions in partnership with leading enterprise technology and managed service vendors

  • Effectively manage vendors suppliers and partners in the IT networking space

  • Create and drive longterm strategic roadmaps for all towers within the IT/network space and drive teams to execute against those roadmaps

  • Foster relationships with leaders and stakeholders within IT and in the business units for the purposes of understanding gaps and requirements

  • Drive modernization efforts to reduce technical debt improve operational stability and enhance employee experiences

  • Drive financially responsible solutions that satisfy business requirements while ensuring appropriate governance and supportability

  • Deliver on HP Inc.s strategic objectives to transform IT Architecture (and overarching organizations) into an innovative agile and lean organization

  • Collaborate with strategic partners to provide operational innovative and financial excellence

Education and Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent technology degree is required

  • 10 years of people management experience preferably in IT architecture engineering or operations teams

  • Expertise in a multitude of network technologies including but not limited to routing and switching datacenter networking public cloud architectures wireless networking wide area network technologies remote access solutions and foundational network services (e.g. DNS DHCP etc.

  • Experience with settings communicating and enforcing standards and best practices associated with managed network solutions

  • Proven track record of managing highperforming and globally diverse teams in times of change in global matrix environments

  • Familiarity with delivering largescale global network solutions while ensuring compliance with CyberSecurity and overall governance requirements

  • Strong attention to detail analytical capability and excellent verbal and written communication

  • Ability to effectively work with and influence others and act as a change leader

  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively

  • Strong leadership skills including coaching team building and conflict resolution

  • Organizational and strategic management skills including budget and business planning and forecasting

  • Skilled in Metrics and datadriven processes to hold vendors accountable while working in collaboration mode

  • Advanced multitasking and prioritization skills

  • Advanced relationship management skills including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partners


Impact & Scope:
Impacts large functions and leads projects requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines or areas of HP.

Complexity:
Uses managerial concepts and company objectives to resolve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways. May achieve goals through subordinate supervisors.

The base pay range for this role is $154000 $237150 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
