Oversee the Confederated Tribes longrange and community development planning. Provide planning support to management team for integrating planning processes with management strategy and tribal policies. Recommend budget allocations in support of community priorities and strategic goals. Monitor and evaluate the results of budget and other resource allocation decisions recommending adjustments to management strategy as needed. Assist and facilitate management team with strategic goal formulation benchmarking and reporting systems. Provide objective information to decisionmakers and the community which measures progress in achieving goals and community priorities. Finalize planning staff recommendations concerning reservation land use and development. Ensure land use plans and zoning maps are uptodate. Remain current on government and legal procedures regarding planning zoning codes land use and other implementation methods. Make recommendations regarding planning zoning codes land use and other implementation methods. Conduct continuing assessment of planning processes and issue reports.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in planning or related field and 810 years verifiable planning experience. Two years supervisory experience. Cultural sensitivity and analytical skills required. Working knowledge of planning methods techniques and terminology. Understanding of government and legal procedures regarding planning including longrange comprehensive plans community development plans and strategic plans. Knowledge of implementation ordinances and processes including zoning land use and capital improvements. Excellent communication skills; writing presenting facilitating and team building.
