Position Overview:
The ChickfilA Shift Leader supports the overall operations of the restaurant during a shift working
closely with the Team Leader to ensure smooth and efficient service. They assist in managing team
performance maintaining operational excellence and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
This role acts as a bridge between team members and the leadership team providing handson
support and guidance throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
Oversee daily shift operations to ensure all areas (Front of House Back of House Drive
Thru etc. are running smoothly.
Ensure all tasks are completed according to ChickfilA standards including food safety
cleanliness and efficiency.
Monitor and address operational challenges in realtime (e.g. high guest volumes
equipment issues or staffing needs).
Team Leadership:
Act as the point of contact for team members during the shift providing support and
guidance in absence of team leader.
Motivate and coach team members to deliver exceptional service and achieve operational
goals.
Assist with training team members on procedures tasks and customer service standards.
Encourage teamwork and foster a positive collaborative work environment.
Guest Experience:
Ensure all guests receive remarkable service during the shift addressing guest concerns
promptly and professionally.
Lead by example in delivering ChickfilA s "Second Mile Service" and maintaining
hospitality excellence to fulfill our mission: "To win the hearts of the Kanata community
every day through great and safe food quick and accurate service and exemplary
hospitality."
Communication & Coordination:
Communicate effectively with team members and team Leader about shift updates team
performance and operational needs.
Relay important updates or changes from leadership to team members.
Assist with smooth transitions between shifts by completing task as assigned by team
leaders.
Administrative Duties (as needed):
Monitor inventory levels during the shift and address shortages if necessary.
Assist with break schedules and ensure labor compliance.
Be available to work operationally in positions when required.
Track shift performance metrics and report updates to the team leader
Other duties as assigned by Team leader

Hourly Wage: $19.50
