Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600 skilled engineers who focus on tendering engineering planning procurementfunctional system testing installation supervision and commissioning. Mission Statement:

Hitachi Energy PQS Electrical Engineering (EE) is responsible for the full cycle project engineering designing of MACH hardware control and Protection system IED based conventional control Protection system Configuration & testing of Protection system Auxiliary AC & DC system design including MV/LV Switch boards Battery systems Junction boxes and LV Cable sizing and estimation through innovative and reliable solution.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Coordinate & lead multiple/complex projects within budget by meeting all KPIs (Quality OTD Efficiency Budget)

• Design & execute the project in line with customer specification / FACTS standard/Global standards Viz IEC ANSI IEEE etc.

• Reviews and approves scope budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables

• Completes risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in ones area of responsibility

• Creates work plans and cost estimates in ones area of responsibility

• Provides cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivers within budget and contract. Ensures adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks

• Interacts with customers officials contractors and others. Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments

• Tender as per customer/FACTS requirement

• Preparation of Manufacturing documents for cubicles and preparation of FACTS Plant design drawings (Secondary)

• Designing and estimation of Aux. AC & DC power requirements. and designing of LV MV Switch boards including battery systems UPS and Voltage stabilizers

• Estimation & Sizing of LV Aux. power control cables communication cables & Indication cables

• Preparation of Specification and Request for Proposal documents for Cubicles Cable Junction boxes Aux. system etc

• Purchasing of cubicles cables Junction boxes AC & DC switch boards MV Switchgear Battery system UPS & Voltage stabilizers etc.

• Coordination with other departments (Mech. / Control / System Design/Commissioning)

• Review and coordination with vendor/supplier drawings for Electrical deliverables including primary equipment

• Evaluation of subsupplier and selection as per project requirement and involving in customer FAT according to project demand

• Involving in Site and commissioning support as per requirement and involving in development and supporting activities for continuous process improvements

• Preparation of As Built Drawings and development Training & mentorship for Junior resources

Your background:

• 10 14 years of experience in Substation secondary/EPC design or project or HVDC control & protection hardware design

• Selfstarter caliber who could own tasks through to completion

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Valuable experience in Control and Protection cubicle design

• Experience in secondary engineering and EPC experience experience in Electrical Grid Industry (Switchyard equipment)

• Experience in Substation/FACTS Project experience or similar field experience in E3 design tool or Similar design tool handling

• Experience in Cable engineeringand knowledge & Experience MS Office: Word Excel

• Team contributor using indepth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization and works independently applying established local & global standards

• Excellent English speaker with an excellent communication skill and dynamic and Proactive willing to take the challenges and grow in the organization

• Team player ready to play the role across the different departments/countries and prominent level of ownership & accountability

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
