Linux Engineer Rocky
Initial 3month Contract Role
Remote Working
450 550 Inside IR35
ECS Resource group are currently working with a Worlds Leading Technology Organisation who are looking for a Linux Engineer to support the migration deployment and lifecycle management of Rocky Linux in a highperforming environment.
As a Linux Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Plan and implement the migration of systems from VMware to Linux.
- Install configure and manage Rocky Linux servers ensuring that they are running efficiently and securely.
- Plan and execute Rocky Linux Migrations from VMWare
- Regularly apply patches and updates to the system and applications to ensure security and stability.
- Set up and maintain backup strategies to ensure critical data is backed up regularly and can be restored in case of failure.
Please note the below requirements are essential and candidates without this will not be considered:
- Experience with Rocky Linux specifically around migrations
- Experience with RHEL CentOS Rocky Linux or equivalent
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
- Linux administration experience
