Position Details
The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a oneyear Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2025.
This position is a teaching position and may include service requirements. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses and may include lower level Health Science and Exercise Science courses in our department. These may include Personal and Family Health Lifetime Sports Physical Fitness for Special Populations and other courses as needed by the department. Candidates with previous teaching experience at the university level are preferred. Candidates will be expected to teach 27 contact hours per academic year. The candidate is expected to hold regular office hours meet with students from a diverse population to promote success and to participate in service to the department college university and broader community as need be. Opportunities for summer teaching may be available.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned Doctorate in a Health Sciences and Human Performancerelated discipline by August 2025.
The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated expertise in teaching in health and exercise science a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and a willingness to teach a variety of undergraduate courses. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
