Our client who provides financial management services requires an experienced Head of Human Resources to join their global team. Reporting to the Global Head of Human Resource you primarily lead the African HR team both locally and in other selected African countries.
Responsibilities;
- Develop implement and regularly review HR (local/global) policies procedures and guidelines to ensure they align with the values and various countries labour legislation.
- Lead all HR workforce planning operations and strategic direction of the people and performance ensuring successful implementation and alignment with business goals.
- Ensure compliance aligned performance of HR Services with country specific local legal employment data protection laws and security.
- Localize and implement global HR strategies frameworks and programs within the responsible countries.
- Promote a high-performance culture through effective engagement training and development programs.
- Support the rollout of HR policies systems and programs across the Africa region ensuring local adaptation and compliance.
- Support regional teams on HR matters including organizational design leadership development challenges needs and succession planning.
- Observe the business operational labour market analyses national wage and inflation trends benchmarks on pay benefits (cash/non-cash) and partner with internal stakeholders on executing the approved compensation goals and its specific activities.
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
- Must have at least ten (10) years working experience in Human Resource operations of which five (5) years should be in a senior leadership role in Africa.
- Must have worked progressively with a multinational organisation in either the Banking Telecommunications Investment and Fintech industry.
- Proven track record in leading HR functions end-to-end (recruitment performance L&D employee relations etc.) locally and in other countries.
- Strong knowledge of local labour law; familiarity with HR practices across other African countries is required.
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) leadership and stakeholder strategic management and conflict resolution skills.
- Must possess strong people management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite HRIS and Payroll software.
