  • Sydney based
  • Permanent fulltime role

How will I help

Westpacs Business and Consumer Financial Markets team provides support advice and risk management services to customers across the Business and Consumer Division of the Group. The Relationship Foreign Exchange (FX) team provides these services to Wholesale FX Clients of the Group.

As a Relationship FX Dealer you will manage a significant portfolio of customers by providing exceptionalphone digital and emailbased foreign exchange portfolio management and support services to Wholesale will include providing deal administration support to customers guiding and advising customers on FX transactions and FX risk management and educating Wholesale customers about the range of FX solutions available to them. You will grow your portfolio by identifying business development opportunities across the Group and your portfolio whilst also supporting the broader Relationship FX team.

You will also:

  • Employ a sound understanding of FX principles deal requirements and products to exceed service expectations of customers and internal stakeholders
  • Support the business goal of improving customer satisfaction aligned with the Groups FX pricing Risk Management and research and improving the Groups share of primary FX customer relationships
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in to promote a customer first and enterpriseled view of activity and behaviour
  • Grow the business by supporting customer acquisition and retention to achieve desired results for customers whilst improving business performance.
  • Determine the most effective client servicing methodology across digital and nondigital engagement
  • Provide insightful idea generation to clients across the spectrum of foreign exchange risk management incorporating a sound understanding of derivative structuring and corporate finance principles
  • Comply with the letter and spirit of all Group and WIB policies Dealing Room policies and the B&C handbook
  • Take ownership of risk in your role and perform your role in a way that reduces risk for our business and our customers

What do I need

You will have substantial experience executing FX products for Wholesale clients including providing guidance and advice. You will also have a developed understanding of compliance and regulatory obligations in providing balanced and evidenced advice with appropriate records will have a demonstrated history of managing a high value book of clients whilst achieving sales objectives with excellent communication skills.

Some further advantageous skills:

  • Exceptional understanding of FX products deal systems and advanced principles of FX risk management to enable appropriate education of customers and bankers
  • Relevant education and professional accreditation including AFMA
