We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced BOQ Engineer to manage and prepare Bill of Quantities for residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project and estimation teams to ensure cost accuracy quantity takeoffs and resource planning in alignment with project specifications and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural and structural drawings.
Analyze drawings and specifications to determine the quantities and cost of materials labor and equipment.
Liaise with project managers architects and engineers to understand project scope.
Ensure quantity take-offs are complete correct and in accordance with the tender documents.
Assist in cost estimation budgeting and procurement planning.
Support tendering process with BOQ documentation and revisions.
Track material requirements and coordinate with procurement and site execution teams.
Evaluate contractor and vendor bills against BOQ and ensure timely approvals.
Update BOQs as per design or site changes and maintain detailed documentation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality control.
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
3 4 years of hands-on experience in BOQ preparation and quantity surveying in the real estate or construction sector.
Proficient in MS Excel AutoCAD and quantity estimation software (e.g. CostX Revit or similar).
Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Good analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication documentation and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of local building regulations and material specifications.
Experience in residential commercial or mixed-use real estate projects.
Familiarity with tendering processes and project billing cycles.
