Our client is a certified woman owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia MD. They specialize in cyber security operations and engineering software development data science and analytic development security engineering risk management and cloud migration. The Role
This Senior Software Engineer role involves designing developing and implementing complex software solutions using Java and modern frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on backend development and API design. They should be proficient in Java Python and have experience with RESTful web services microservices architecture and cloud technologies (AWS Azure). Additionally a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with tools like Git Maven and Jira is essential. The role requires a TS/SCI security clearance and a DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
What Youll Bring
BS in Software Engineering (or a related field) and 5 years of experience with a focus on Java and modern frameworks (Spring Guava). Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with Java Python and objectoriented programming in a Linux environment
Experience with RESTful web services Microservices architecture and configuration management tools (Git Nexus Maven)
Exposure to Agile methodologies
DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification (within 60 days of hire)
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS Azure)
Distributed databases (NoSQL Elasticsearch MongoDB Solr)
Scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash)
Big Data Platform experience
Agile tools (Jira Confluence GitHub)
Clearance Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
Location
50 hybrid schedule with onsite work performed in San Antonio TX.
Compensation
Salary bands range from $110k200k commensurate with experience/degrees/etc.
