Job Description
Alexa Experiences & Services UX team is seeking a selfmotivated ownershipminded and nimble Senior UX Program Manager to be a forcemultiplier for UX Design & Research amplifying our efforts and impact. The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership high judgment the ability to influence and exceptional organization and communication skills.
This role will provide program management leadership and operational support throughout our design organization and across multiple partner teams by increasing communication and connection points streamlining the design process and driving design excellence. You will collaborate closely with designers researchers engineers product managers and other cross functional partners to lead projects throughout the planning design and development cycle.
In this role youll combine expert program management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the designs of Amazons AI assistant used by millions of customers. Youll work crossfunctionally and collaborate with design leadership designers product and engineering teams to plan projects define milestones assess risks and help projects meet deadlines. You will also manage communications to team members executives and other stakeholders. You are a master planner and a flexible leader who can balance multiple programs in a creative design environment.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with UX leadership in key project decisionmaking including: requirements gathering scheduling resource allocation and coordination of teams and reviews
Drive team operations to support org health including: strategic planning upleveling team member training and knowledge share workflow and processes and collaboration approaches
Act as a bridge between UX Engineering and Product Management (PM) teams connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for
Anticipate bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
Implement repeatable processes and tools to help us scale prioritize plan and manage multiple parallel projects across the team and our stakeholders
Support design delivery by driving team backlogs and removing obstacles coordinating reviews with stakeholders and leadership communicating team status and empowering designers to own their timelines
Create maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior management
Work across teams to create strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership teams
Promote a sense of transparency visibility and community among our team

Engage with talented UX Designers and researchers on innovative new efforts
About the team
The Alexa Experiences & Services UX team is at the forefront of creating innovative new Alexa experiences with generative AI technologies on Echo devices with screens mobile apps (Alexa App) Fire TV tablet and other devices.
6 years of design program management experience
Experience managing UX programs and working with Design and Research
Demonstrable history of influencing crossfunctional stakeholders partners and senior executives
Knowledge of humancentered design process
Experience working and contributing to project playbooks building schedules managing issues/risks establishing communication plans and stakeholder management
Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements
Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
