14S&P Global Inc. is seeking a strategic and innovative AI Lead to join our People team. Reporting directly to the Head of People AI Strategy & Program Management the AI Lead will partner closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and People Partners to implement AI solutions that are scalable ethical and aligned to corporate objectives for the People team.
This role will work closely with the Head of People AI Strategy & Program Management to develop the People Strategy for AI and partner with People Leadership Team (PLT) members People Technology Lead and key AI stakeholders throughout the enterprise to execute the longterm strategy including artificial intelligence for HR automation and robotics. The ideal candidate has prior experience leading initiatives that harness AI/ML NLP and GenAI technologies to improve People processes operational efficiency and organizational performance.
Strategic Planning and :
Partner with Head of People AI Strategy & Program Management to develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy for the People team aligned with SPGIs overall business objectives.
Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across People processes including creating a roadmap for AI initiatives outlining key milestones resources and timelines.
Guide the implementation of AI technologies (including automation robotics AI/ML and GenAI) ensuring they integrate smoothly with existing workflows and systems.
Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions that improve business performance customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies across the People function.
Collaboration and Partnership:
Partner closely with People Technology Lead COEs and People Partners to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business needs and stakeholder readiness for AI adoption.
Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration to ensure alignment and buyin for AI initiatives.
Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into AI solutions.
Partner with People Analytics & People technology to influence and shape a data management strategy that supports AI initiatives focusing on data quality accessibility and utilization.
Opportunity Discovery and Assessment:
Conduct readiness assessments with stakeholders to understand their needs providing through leadership on how AI can drive innovation and solve business problems.
Evaluate current AI capabilities (data technology talent and processes) identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Implementation Leadership:
Lead the design and deployment of AI projects within the People team.
Coordinate with internal IT teams People Product Owners COEs and external vendors to implement AI solutions effectively.
Articulate the potential of AI/ML NLP and GenAI tools helping stakeholders understand their benefits limitations and prerequisites (such as data quality) for successful implementation.
Monitor project progress manage risks and ensure successful delivery of AI initiatives.
Metrics and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and ROI of AI initiatives.
Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on the progress and outcomes of AI projects highlighting successes challenges and areas for optimization.
Develop and implement mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of AI strategies and projects using data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Ethics & Governance:
Ensure AI initiatives are developed and deployed ethically following responsible AI practices that address issues such as bias fairness and transparency.
Lead the definition of AI governance mechanisms
Collaborate with internal teams to review AI projects ensuring they adhere to ethical guidelines and align with regulatory standards.
Thought Leadership:
Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and regulatory developments related to AI data privacy and ethics ensuring compliance.
Represent the People team in internal and external forums related to AI advancements.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $148257 to $259889. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications.

Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Information Technology Business Administration or a related fiel
8 years of experience in HR digital transformation or related fields with substantial experience in implementing AI automation or robotics strategies.
Proven experience in leading AI/ML NLP and Gen AI projects in a global complex organizational environment.
Strong background in HR technology project management and leading crossfunctional teams.
Experience working in a complex global organization is preferred.
Project Management: Strong skills in planning executing and managing projects to successful completion.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of AI technologies automation tools and robotics applications relevant to HR.
Analytical Thinking: Proficient in data analysis and leveraging insights to inform strategies.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and build strong relationships.
Innovation: Passion for exploring new technologies and driving innovation within the organization.
Ethics & Governance: Knowledge of ethical AI practices and governance frameworks including data privacy and compliance standards.
