Visiting Professor of Government. The Department of Government at Wesleyan University seeks applicants for a oneyear visiting position in American politics during theacademic year beginning September 1 2025. We welcome applications from Americanists with any specialization within the subfield. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment (September 1 2025 to be hired as a Professor; a successful candidate may be hired as anInstructorif the candidate does not have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of application. The teaching load is 32 including two sections of an introductory American politics course two survey courses and a seminar on a topic of the visitors choice. The successful candidate might also be asked to supervise up to two senior theses.
