Job Overview
Sr. Accountant position with 46 years of experience based in Mumbai. This is a fulltime role in the civil engineering industry.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 46 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Sound knowledge of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP SAP ERP and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience in bank reconciliation and software bookkeeping.
- Ability to prepare and analyze balance sheets and other financial statements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Knowledge of civil engineering industry and project accounting will be an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including bookkeeping TDS calculation and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain financial records ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Provide support during the audit process preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and systems.
- Handle adhoc financial analyses and reporting as required.
