Section Manager Warehouse Services is responsible for managing warehouses supporting
manufacturing or site services that may include delivery services MRO furniture or API and
raw materials in Lake County. Section Manager is responsible to ensure facilities meet AbbVie
internal or external customer expectations while meeting all Quality Regulatory Financial
and Global Trade compliance expectations that apply to an area. The Section Manager must
ensure full compliance with FDA DEA OSHA GTC TSA and other regulatory expectations. The
Section Manager is expected to maintain efficient and compliant operations ready to meet any
internal customer or regulatory audit. The Section Manager is expected to maintain a safe and secure facility ensuring employee safety and product integrity. The Section Manager is
expected to meet assigned goals and KPIs and assure capacity systems and technology is
capable of supporting operational expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret develop and implement strategies policies procedures and systems to ensure quality and security.
- Responsible for the management training and developing a compliant and diverse work force of 25 operators group leaders and supervisors.
- Responsible to meet internal and external customer service expectations including interaction with key AbbVie customers participating in customer audits and programs that are expected to improve service or support AbbVie business activity product security or customer relationships.
- Responsible to meet CFM expectations regarding inventory accuracy and annual operating budgets of approximately $2MM.
- Manages completion of all CAPA/exception reporting for the manufacturing warehousing investigating events assessing impact to product and developing/implementing corrective actions for future batches.
- Creates and maintains quality procedures and GMP training modules for the manufacturing warehouse group.
- Develops and implements practices and procedures that provide appropriate and efficient compliance to regulatory and AbbVie requirements
- Oversee the implementation and management of training and education programs for the various aspects of inventory management and quality assurance.
- Manage effective deployment of labor resources across shift and work centers. Identify crosstraining requirements to ensure maximum labor flexibility. Identify and coordinate training as well as professional developmental needs for personnel including production personnel to maintain a well prepared workforce.
- Builds positive culture and develops team members while overseeing the department. Monitors team workload guides team through complex work issues and answers questions. Interviews hires and recommends salary adjustments for team members as needed. Collaborates with team members to establish performance goals conducts performance reviews and assists with succession planning.
Qualifications :
- BS/BA degree in business or logistics management is preferred to ensure the manager has an extended understanding of operations management. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Manager may be required to attain Controlled Drug Agent status gained by passing the
security screening and training processes. - Manager may be required to pass all FBI state and local background checks including no
prior felony convictions to meet various state licensing requirements.
