The Senior Data Architect works with data engineers business stakeholders and product owners to help design the physical and conceptual data model which empower a business. They will be responsible for designing the structure of the data model working across teams to translate requirements into an interconnected wellgoverned efficient and accessible data model. Aside from informing modeling decisions the Senior Data Architect will also help the team to define best practices uphold engineering excellence and to promote quality data analysis with partner teams.

Data Model and Technology Architecture

Owns design solutions for comprehensive data models within domains.

Owns E2E solution design strategy across teams. Authors the following artifacts: Concept Architecture Top 25 System Impacts and E2E Solution Architecture document .

Support the definition and adoption of common software development processes.

Prepares and maintains design deliverables that include architecture diagrams data models and API / microservice architecture.

Enforces design process standards on assigned initiatives.

Writes advanced documentation architecture capabilities limitations and advantages for technologies.

Produces advanced documentation and literature for multiple disciplines.

Clearly describes architecture design strategies standards technical specifications business benefits opportunities and threats. Routinely creates and presents executive and external materials including white papers.

Identify and propose solutions to address shortcomings in existing data products.

Actively contributes to industry publications and professional forums.

Contributes to decisions on technical solutions including tech stack architecture but also software design solutions.

Relationship People & Project Management

Interacts with Senior management to shape and align solutions against desired minimum viable product scope.

Works closely with product managers and partner teams alike to design quality data products.

Maintains good relationships with partner teams understands their needs and usecases.

Participates in formal internal training programs.

Applies a broad understanding of the products systems and technologies across the business portfolio and deep technical ability on integration of these components to deliver a cohesive E2E solution architecture for a given initiative.

Translates business requirements into technical requirements that the system analysts and other technical team members drive into the project design and delivery.

Innovation and Leadership

Lead the overall technical design and endto end solution design for assigned initiatives.

Ensures quality consistency and alignment of designs to TMUS standards and digital strategy.

Reviews pull requests enforces design standards on the team.

Leads large cross domain initiatives that are supported by E2E Design E2E Arch applies digital standards to project Solution Architecture drives Technical Strategy and architectural tradeoff discussions.

Leads the technical design process for applicable cross domain initiatives. Capable of leading Sr. Architects on initiatives that are divided into multiple work streams.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Balances constraints in IT business delivery to deliver optimal architecture for an initiative.

Leads design orchestration on largesized initiatives or work streams.

Provides input into the definition of Digital Architecture standards as they are created.

Strategy

Owns solution design for multiple cross domain initiatives and works across domains to ensure cohesive solution.

Assesses the modeling solution from a strategic viewpoint. How does this design affect future designs the immediate model the holistic model present and future business users

Reviews and identifies the gaps in the architecture and solution designs assesses and defines remediation efforts or mitigation options.

Drives to practical solutions considering all teams initiatives and longterm outlook.

Makes and implements complex decisions aimed at improving the quality effectiveness or ability to achieve revenue profitability and strategic goals for the organization.

Understands how the business functions in order to effectively model that function in data.

REQUIREMENTS;

  • Education:
  • Bachelors Degree (preferred but not required)

  • Work Experience:
  • 47 years Related work experience. (Required)
  • 47 years Progressive experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products systems and/or platforms coupled with strong business acumen and executive presence. (Required)
  • 47 years Experience working in data engineering analytics data science or analytics engineering.

Base Pay Range: $103600 $186900

Corporate Bonus Target: 15

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At TMobile employees in regular nontemporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a yearend bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
