This is a remote position.
The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering and updating data into company systems databases or records. This role requires accuracy speed and attention to detail to ensure that the data is entered correctly and efficiently. Data entry clerks may also assist in maintaining records and performing general office tasks related to data management.
Data Entry & Updates: Enter and update large amounts of data into internal systems or databases from various sources (paper electronic files spreadsheets etc.).
Verification & Quality Control: Review data for errors or inconsistencies and correct any discrepancies.
Maintain Databases: Ensure data integrity and help with the maintenance of databases and files.
Reporting: Assist in generating reports and summaries based on entered data.
Organize Files: Classify and store files organized for easy retrieval.
Data Processing: Perform data cleansing and validation.
Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive or confidential information.
Communication: Coordinate with team members or departments to ensure smooth data flow.
Perform Other Duties: Other administrative duties as assigned such as scanning filing or answering queries.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require an associate degree or higher).
Experience: Previous experience in data entry or administrative support is often preferred but not always required.
Skills:
Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and data management software.
Basic knowledge of data entry and office equipment (e.g. scanners printers).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently.
Basic understanding of database management systems is a plus.
