About the Role:

The Team: Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of data Join our Data Capture team this summer and play a vital role in how S&P Global Mobility processes all inbound data files! Youll be at the forefront of maintaining file and supplier profiles resolving capture process issues and ensuring that all necessary data is available for downstream processes. This internship runs from June 2nd to August 8th and were looking for someone whos eager to make an impact!

Location: Southfield MI (Please note: relocation assistance is not available)

Internship Dates: June 2nd to August 8th

Youll be a key player in maintaining the integrity of our data processes and your work will directly affect our success!

Your Responsibilities:

  • Get to know the overall process and understand customer needs.
  • Dive into file processing and data ingestion learning the business rules that guide these processes.
  • Monitor and maintain data file processing and onboarding to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Support existing portfolios to identify and mitigate anomalies.
  • Follow guidelines and proactively raise alerts on any functional application or data risks.
  • Collaborate in planning designing developing and deploying new applications and enhancing existing ones.
  • Learn the ropes of Refuel and its processing to add value to your role.

What Were Looking For:

  • Youre currently a rising senior/second year grad student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
  • You have a basic understanding of electronic file transfer protocols (FTP SFTP FTPS HTTP HTTPS) and file decryption/decompression methods.
  • Youre proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel) and have knowledge of SQL.
  • You possess strong problemsolving skills and can perform root cause analysis.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You excel at time management prioritization and accountability.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Youre decisive and think critically about the consequences of your decisions.
