Job Description

The Rapid and Rural Logistics team covers a portfolio of highgrowth businesses with unique fulfillment and operational capabilities such as Sub Same Day (SSD) and Rural Super Rural (RSR). Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business drive operations excellence and make sound investment and expansion decisions with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving longterm profitability for our portfolio of businesses. We experiment constantly fail fast and never stop learning.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to influence business owners support thoughtful decisionmaking and adapt to a rapidlyevolving environment. They will collaborate with executives and business units across Amazon bring excellent verbal and written communication skills and prioritize the most impactful projects and programs to drive businesses forward. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity of building innovative solutions with largescale data mining tools identifying highpriority work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders and solving complex problems that impact companywide strategic decisions.



Key job responsibilities
Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models interpret data draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results drive improvements and influence leaders throughout Amazon
Deliver financial reporting/planning working across stakeholders to understand input drivers validate reporting integrity and influence strategic decisionmaking and action plans
Make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
Use active listening skills and communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear concise and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly
Participates in hiring developing and mentoring peers and team members. Seeks and leverages diverse perspectives

Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
5 years of finance experience or Masters degree and 3 years of finance experience

MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
