Job Description
Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Engineer Project who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering infrastructure activities and plans relating to engineering services required for underground mining operations at Didipio Mine. The role provides direct output in the design phase and project management of all infrastructure to support Life of Mine production plans. This includes managing overseeing and monitoring all dewatering air and ventilation systems and infrastructure. This role is accountable to new build activities infrastructure construction works managing OGPI contractor and to ensure works are undertaken inline with health safety and environmental obligations design specifications quality project budget and schedule. The role will report to the Snr Engineer Project .
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- The ability to effectively plan coordinate and implement projects to achieve desired outcomes within defined constraints of scope time cost and quality;
- The ability to address issues and concerns with decisive action based on a systematic process of problem analysis and solutionseeking that leads to optimum solutions and improved performance;
- The ability to identify analyze evaluate and deal with risks relative to the achievement of goals and targets of the organization;
- The ability to plan implement and oversee the efficient movement and storage of goods services or information to meet business and customer requirements; and
- The ability to develop comprehensive project plans timelines and budgets for mining projects and ensure they are executed efficiently to meet objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications :
- Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
- Professional license in Mining/Civil/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year experience in metallic ore hard rock mining preferably underground
- 2 years experience in project management in mining environment
- With strong understanding of mining operations and the infrastructure needs (Ventilation Mine Dewatering Paste Fill Reticulation and Mine Capital Developments).
- Knowledgeable of basic mining project coordination construction contracts and reporting
- Proficient with MS Office suite of products scheduling software (MS Project) and mining industryrelated computer software (AutoCAD Deswik etc.
- With good communication including technical writing planning and scheduling and presentation skills; and
- With a valid Professional Drivers License.
