Job Description

Job Summary: 

 

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for remotely deploying Intelerads complex applications while minimizing risk and client impact. Collaborating with the team the DevOps Engineer analyzes complex change requests to determine and implement optimal solutions for customers and Intelerad. Additionally the DevOps Engineer analyzes technical procedures to implement efficiency and reliability improvements with a strong emphasis on security and compliance. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

 

  • None 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

 

  • Remotely install and configure Intelerads software solutions on Linux servers 

  • Handle complex server additions software upgrades configuration changes and disaster recoveries 

  • Provide thirdlevel support for complex change management 

  • Create update and enhance documentation 

  • Identify assess and implement process and technology improvements to enhance product delivery 

  • Develop scripts and automation to enhance system administration efficiency 

  • Participate in oncall rotation to address emergencies 

  • Be available to work on weekends after hours and holidays when necessary 


Qualifications :

Required Experience/Skills: 

 

  • Undergrad degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent

  • Linux System administration and certifications (RHCSA or RHCE nice to haves

  • 3 years of system administration experience 

  • Attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills 

  • Ability to multitask in maturing business environments 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership and delivering impactful results 

  • Exceptional teamwork abilities including the capacity to cultivate and sustain both internal and external relationships 

  • Views challenges as opportunities for growth and sees each day as a chance for continuous improvement 

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell Python and other common languages 

  • Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL databases 

  • Experience with version tracking tools (e.g. Mercurial Git RCS)  

  • Understanding of networking and storage principles 

  • Proficiency in software development 

  • (Optional) Technical knowledge and understanding of the medical imaging field
