Job Description
Amazons Last Mile Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program is responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across the planet. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations vans and technology to deliver customers packages on time often next day sometimes faster. We augment our traditional deliver by van with other models including Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers) Amazon Lockers and more all designed to deliver smiles to our customers. You will make history as you help build one of the largest carriers on the planet.
Last Mile OntheRoad (OTR) Finance seeks a Finance Manager to support financial planning as well as strategic initiatives for our Delivery Service Partners Program. Last Mile offers opportunities to grow your career as you engage on one of the many facets of this worldclass delivery service. From here you will have the opportunity to rotate to other functional areas or roles across Amazons portfolio of businesses.
As a Finance Manager on the DSP Product Strategy finance team you will be pivotal to the teams success as an owner of financial and operational reporting decision support financial modeling and building business cases for new initiatives. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis insightful guidance and financial leadership to our last mile delivery organization as we grow our delivery business rapidly. This role will provide extensive crossfunctional partnership opportunities with finance stakeholders.
A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative socially responsible last mile logistics solutions through largescale data driven decision making. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities: they influence business owners work well in an ambiguous environment support thoughtful decisionmaking and adapt to a rapidlyevolving environment. They collaborate with senior leaders and various business units across Amazon. You bring excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
Support WW DSP Partner strategic initiatives through working with the program managers and/on project teams or independently on deep dives. Challenge assumptions.
Work with international finance teams to standardize product offerings and act in a consultancy role
Identifies and implements solutions to resolve improve automate standardize or simplify finance processes.
You work with a variety of data sources and identify incomplete or inaccurate data identify root causes escalate discrepancies execute fixes and partner on the resolution.
Uses financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets.
Excellent written and verbal communication of data and analysis; can communicate in a clear concise and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences.
You can independently prioritize work manage multiple priorities resolve issues and meet deadlines.
Contributes to work life harmony by being a positive collaborative and effective influencer.
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
5 years of finance experience or Masters degree and 3 years of finance experience
5 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
