Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant serves in an entry level role but vital part on the HR team. The Human Resource Assistant supports many core HR functions including without limitation Office Administration Recruitment Training and Event Planning. The HR Assistant will perform human resource duties and to provide administrative support for the Office of Human Resources. The HR Assistant plans and carries out work independently and with minimum supervision. The HR Assistant is responsible for prioritizing and managing issues within designated area of responsibility and is responsible for managing work and project schedules to meet objectives deadlines and assignments. The successful candidate will exhibit superior customer service skills possess effective organizational skills and have an eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Two 2 years progressively responsible professionallevel human resources or administrative assistant experience. Professional certification from a recognized human resource/personnel association. Recruitment experience. Knowledge or experience editing websites. Experience in Oregon personnel laws and policies. Human Resource experience in higher education.
