Job Description

THE POSITION

The Washington County Department of Housing Services is recruiting for a truly exceptionalExecutive Assistant to join our team!

The Executive Assistant contributes to the Department of Housing Services mission of creating pathways out of homelessness promoting housing stability and investing in affordable communities for Washington County and our residents by providing administrative support to the Director of Housing Services and supporting various administrative work on behalf of the entire department. This position also communicates to various departments including the County Administrative Office and Support Services.

The ideal candidate has strong skills in verbal and written communications file management organization customer service development and maintenance of spread sheets and reminder systems and ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism.

This positionmay beeligible forahybrid workscheduleafterinitialonboarding and is subject to department need.

Selection Process:
  1. Apply today!In lieu of a resume you are required to complete and submit an online application which will be used to screen for minimum qualifications (MQs) and to determine starting pay in accordance with the provision of the Oregon Equal Pay Act.
  2. MQ Review:HR will screen applications for MQs after the posting closes on August 3 2025.
  3. Subject Matter Expert (SME) Review:Depending on the number of applicants that meet MQs a SME panel may perform an in-depth evaluation of your application materials including your responses to the supplemental questions. This process will begin after August 10 2025.
  4. Panel Interview(s):Our goal is to schedule panel interviews with candidates who successfully pass the SME review as soon as possible.
  5. Conditional Offer of Appointment:Human Resources will conduct a salary analysis for the successful candidate(s) and extend an offer of appointment.
  6. Post-Offer Check:The successful candidate(s) will undergo background and reference checks.
  7. Start Date:A start date will be determined after all conditions of employment have been met.
