About us
Job Purpose
To develop and oversee sound strategic analysis that underpin strategic initiatives by effectively building a detailed understanding of market developments technologies operational best practices benchmarks and other opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- To formulate and provide commercial strategy to mitigate and manage energy balancing risks and obligations in the most economic and efficient way.
- To optimize performance against incentive schemes.
- To identify and support opportunities to develop frameworks.
- To ensure we have the right systems tools products and processes in place at the right time to manage the commercial risks to the current and future network in the best possible way.
- To investigate and develop value creation opportunities through incentive scheme development stakeholder consultations and regulatory interface.
- Developing and interrogating a wide range of internal and external sources to support and progress the analysis undertaking qualitative and quantitative research to support decision making.
- Developing business cases supported by robust financial analysis helping to shape the strategic agenda by developing compelling arguments and translating these into high quality dialogues with the business.
- Developing high quality board & executive level communications.
- This front line strategy role has many stakeholders requiring the post holder to develop relationships and influence at every level of the organization and to carefully challenge established thinking.
Supervisory/Interpersonal Experience Required
- Comfortable to work in environments with multiple stakeholders and to work collaboratively and innovatively within cross functional teams.
- Ability to build productive working relationships across all levels within an organization.
- Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex strategic ideas and proposals to a wide range or audiences in both written and verbal mediums.
