Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Massillon Ohio (Hybrid Schedule)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing developing and managing data warehouse solutions with a particular focus on integrating and utilizing Power BI for business intelligence and analytics.
Your Seat at the Table:
- Design develop and maintain Data Warehouse Solutions: Create and maintain efficient data warehouse architecture data models and databases to support business intelligence and analytics needs
- Power BI Integration: Develop and implement Power BI semantic models dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Data Strategy and Governance: Work with stakeholders to define and implement data strategies ensuring data accuracy security and regulatory compliance
- ETL Processes: Design program and manage ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration
- Data Quality and Performance: Ensure data quality consistency and performance optimization of the data warehouse
- Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists analysts and IT team members to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions
- Documentation: Document all data warehouse architecture changes and choices
What you Bring to the Table:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience: 510 years of progressive experience in data modeling/design/engineering and realworld experience with endtoend development of designed solutions. Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or similar role with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Power BI Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Lake. Ability to provide leadership to other developers
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL data modeling ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. Strong knowledge of Power BI including DAX and Power Query
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency and/or experience in SQL Server programming and job management SSIS SSAS Boomi Integration software
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks Fabric Data Lakehouse technology and best practice usage
- Experience designing and implementing advanced data solutions using Databricks or Fabric focusing on scalability performance and business value
- Demonstrated ability to move from onprem to a cloud modern data platform
- Experience with cloudbased data warehousing solutions (e.g. Azure AWS Google Cloud).
- Experience with Power BI workspaces security user/permission management continuous pipeline deployment
- Knowledge of new tools and trends of BI technologies
- Familiarity with data governance including data org structures including best practice operating models and intake processes
- Exposure to AI/ML driven analytics/automation and Python/R programming is also a plus but not required.
