Job Description
Job Position Summary:
- Responsible for planning implementing and operation of EnvironmentHealth and Safety (EHS) System according to national and internationalregulations and best practices.
- Develop strategies to ensure continuous improvement of Safety employee injury prevention OSHAcompliance program to support Safety Management System (SMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the EHS Policies andobjectives are set and achieved by application of strategic decisions.
- Promote a culture of customerfocus and performance management to ensure high quality and continuousimprovement in service delivery.
- Design EHS strategies toreduce illness environmental accidents that may affect employee and provide stakeholderswith a safe and healthful workplace.
- Models and promotes an organizational culture that fosters safetypractices through effective implementation of EHS management system.
- Preventinjury and ill health by continuously improving our EHS programs throughevaluation review and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventiveactions.
- Reduceor minimize the generation of waste to the extent feasible through sourcereduction or costeffective recycling.
- Advises management ongovernment regulations relating to OHSE and recommends necessary action toensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain Akas Air EHSdocument to ensure regular effective communication between EHS and departments/employees.
- Monitor and Identify potential EHS concerns & Hazards and recommendsuitable mitigating actions.
- Design and deliver EHStraining programs to provide awareness to all employees.
- Investigate EHS accidents/incidents/hazards and recommend thecorrective and preventive action.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications/Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree/ Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent.
- Knowledge of tools concepts and methodologies of OHSE.
- NEBOSH or equivalent Industry accepted certification.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001Environment & 18001 OHSAS
- Auditor qualifications and experience.
- Knowledge about the Airline Emergency Response
Preferred Work Experience:3 Years experience inSafety/Quality Assurance/OHSE
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Knowledge of effective usage of data analysis tools and statisticalanalysis
- Good Communication skills verbal and written.
- Problem analysis and problem solving
- Planning and organizing
- Decisionmaking skills
- Customer service orientation
- Effective interaction with stakeholders
- Teamwork
Location: Mumbai
Travel Needed: one/twice per month
Employment: Full time on the rolls of SNV Aviation.
