DEPARTMENT INSIGHT:
The Estate Planning practice provides an active and vigorous environment supporting trusts and estates matters related to estate planning probate will and trust preparation power of attorney insurance retirement benefits and much more. While leading individuals and families to build and secure the state they also help create financial security.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a seniorlevel Paralegal in the Estate Planning group you will be managing a steady pipeline of highnetworth client matters. The successful candidate should be capable of handling complex tasks with minimal supervision
DUTIES:
Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of estate planning documents including wills revocable and irrevocable trusts powers of attorney and advance healthcare directives
Support trust and estate administration from start to finish including trust funding asset transfers preparation of inventories accounting and final distributions
Organize and maintain client files correspondence and legal documents in accordance with firm procedures
Collaborate with Partners on client strategy while handling matters independently from start to finish
Maintain accurate time entries and support the team in meeting billing and productivity goals
REQUIREMENTS:
6 years of experience in Estate Planning Trust & Estate Administration Probate Entity Formation Tax and/or Charitable Planning
Ability to meet a billable requirement of 1500 hours annually
Confidently receive assignments from Partners and manage a substantial caseload with efficiency and precision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of California Estate Planning laws and regulations
Detailoriented and demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented fastpaced environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Compensation: $80000 $90000
