About the Role

Were looking for a detailoriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our team in Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services youll play a key role in the daytoday finance operations of the business. This is a handson role best suited to someone who enjoys varietywhether its reconciling accounts preparing monthend journals or improving systems and processes.

Youll be joining a small agile team in a collaborative environment where accuracy accountability and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Your Mission at Life Trading

Finance Operations:

  • Perform fullfunction bookkeeping for multiple entities using Xero
  • Process accounts payable including supplier bills payment runs (via Commbiz) and intercompany expense allocations
  • Prepare regulatory payments and filings
  • Conduct banking and clearer reconciliations including FX transactions
  • Prepare monthend accounting journals and support adhoc reporting

Assist in the annual audit and contribute to audit readiness

Process & Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and financial procedures
  • Contribute to documenting processes and implementing changes
  • Take ownership of your tasks and contribute to team success

Apply company values in all aspects of your work

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience using Xero in a multientity environment
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
  • Ability to meet reporting deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive selfstarter mindset
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • A collaborative cando approach

Bonus Points For

  • Experience in a trading or financial services environment
  • Confidence working autonomously in a small fastpaced team

A track record of streamlining processes or introducing improvements
