We are seeking a Certified Safety Officer in an Aluminium company to promote and maintain a safe and compliant working environment across all departments. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in enforcing health and safety policies in industrial or manufacturing settings and must hold a recognized safety certification.
Requirements
- HND Environmental Science Industrial Safety Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 3 years experience in a safety role preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations standards and best practices (including OSHA ISO 45001 etc.).
- Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g. NEBOSH HSE Level 1 3) is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent reporting ability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections
- Ensure compliance with all health safety and environmental regulations
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Organize safety drills awareness programs and training for staff
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents inspections and equipment certifications
- Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure the facility meets all statutory safety requirements
