Job Description
Dowbuilt is hiring aservice foreman tosupport our service superintendents. This position is responsible for executing a variety of projects within client occupied highend residences at the highest standards of quality in the industry. Dowbuilt foremenwithin the service department are professional skilled craftspeople who communicate exceptionally plan and manage time effectively across multiple projects and collaborate with a wide variety of people inside and outside of the company.
WHAT YOULL DO
As a service foreman youll be responsible for:
- Performing all assigned work to the highest standard of workmanship and quality; collaboratingwith superintendents designers and clients to develop and execute solutions
- Performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that our clients homes run smoothly
- Proactively identifying areas in need of repair;inspecting and diagnosingproblems as needed
- Supervisingand assisting subcontractors to ensure safe operations productivity and quality of work
- Managingsubcontractor performance and behavior onsite
- Maintaining a safe secure clean and organized work area;ensuringtools and equipment are maintained and stored properly;maintaining security and privacy of our clients and information at all times
- Planning and managingweekly schedule; maintaining a current calendar and identify personal schedule gaps in advance;proactively reaching out to superintendents to ensure sufficient work
- Procuringmaterials and supplies for service projects; submitting material purchases with appropriate job numbers
- Preparingdaily field reports with hours providing a recap of the service work that was performed
- Establishing and cultivatingprofessional and personal contacts in the building industry
- Cleaning and maintaining company service vehicle
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful as a Dowbuilt service foreman youll need:
- At least 3 years of residential construction experience (highend preferred)
- OSHA 10 and CPR / First Aid certifications; focus onsafety and security of self employees clients
- Possesses working knowledge of:
- all phases of carpentry
- building codes and permit requirements
- operation and basic troubleshooting of home mechanical electrical and plumbing systems
- fine finish care and maintenance practices
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc. webbased applications (i.e. Smartsheet Insightly ShareFile Slack etc. and/or Bluebeam / Adobe Acrobat
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record; driving a company vehicle is required for this position
- Professional and succinct communication skills
- The ability to listen actively follow instructions take notes ask for help and suggest solutions
- The drive to learn develop skills and share knowledge with others
- The ability to collaborate and problem solve with others
- Composure when stressed or facing difficult objectives
- Confidentiality of client and company proprietary information
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- U.S. work authorization
