This specialist provides tactical support to an assigned area to ensure safe and reliable operation of its rotating machinery.
Serves as the Machinery Technical Assurance focal point for the area.
Supports Operations on equipment issues through troubleshooting and guidance.
Provides technical input for Maintenance to ensure repair quality per LYB Procedures & Standards.
Identifies Bad Actors supports Root Cause Failure Analysis and works to eliminate deficiencies.
Supports Turnaround Activities as needed in planning and/or .
Supports installations of machinery projects and equipment overhauls as per the Sites LRPs.
Provides input on the necessary spare parts required for new/modified equipment installations and/or BOM changes or creation.
Updates and maintains Equipment Files and other Process Safety Information as needed.
Supports Condition Monitoring activities by completing Vibration Routes Lube Oil Samples Rounds Windrock Recip Compr. Data Collection etc. Works with the Condition Monitoring Specialist and the Unit Rot. Equip. Engineer to analyze data and report deviations.
Provides timely and accurate input for Reliability Tracking Metrics.
Provides updates to Area Leadership / Stakeholders on Rotating Equip. Reliability Threats.
High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a formal training program is preferred. (Millwright Industrial Mechanic or Aviation Mechanic.
Minimum of 6 years of Rotating Equipment related experience in the Refining or Petrochemical Industry.
Excellent knowledge of pumps compressors and turbines their applications and limitations as well as knowledge of applicable codes and standards is also required.
Strong computer skills; SAP Microsoft Word and Excel.
Outstanding troubleshooting and decisionmaking skills to aid in identify and implementing corrective actions.
Strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills are required to work with various levels of the organization and different departments.
Preferred candidate will have minimum of 10 years of Rotating Equipment related experience in the Refining or Petrochemical Industry
