Our department specializes in creating technical documentation drawings and models serving as the central hub that connects all other departments. As a member of our team you will primarily work on projects liaising directly with Product Managers to determine the scope of work and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure successful project completion.

What you can look forward to asMechanical Design Engineer at Technical Center:
- CAD design 3D & 2D) development of components and steering systems in accordance with ZFs internal procedures and external customer requirements.
- Supporting the design process in all ZF organizational units: Technical Centers production units and internal departments (Prototype Test & Validation etc..
- Creating and modifying 2D and 3D stackups.
- Creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Participating in Drawing Review and Design Review preparing technical documentation for Core and Application projects.
- Managing changes in the PLM Windchill system.
- Testing and supporting activities related to the implementation of new CAD and PLM systems.
Your Profile as Mechanical Design Engineer at Technical Center:
- Higher technical education preferred fields: Mechatronics Electrical Engineering Mechanics and Machine Building or related.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD design.
- Ability to create 3D and 2D models using Catia V5 (optionally CREO NX) knowledge of ISO GPS/GD&T dimensioning performing calculations using spreadsheets and analytically.
- Knowledge of PLM system (Windchill is preferred).
- Adaptability to a dynamic international work environment and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in a team and with limited supervision.
- Interpersonal skills (collaboration with teams worldwide).
- Very good English skills both spoken and written.
