About the role:
The Therapeutic Case Worker position is situated within the FFTCW Unit providing family therapy utilising the FFTCW model.
The FFTCW Therapeutic Case Worker provides casework utilising the FFTCW model to client families where a child/ren are referred to the program by DCJ because of the child protection risk in the family and the imminent likelihood of an OOHC placement for the child/ren.
We have a Fixed Term Contract opportunity until 6th July 2026 based in Blacktown NSW within our Children Youth and Families / Functional Family TherapyChild Welfare program. This role reports to the Team Leader in Therapeutic Casework.

To thrive in this role youll need:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification at a minimum Diploma in Social Sciences Aboriginal Health or Community Welfare.
- Post Graduate training in relevant child adolescent family work and systemic thinking is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal children young people & families and Aboriginal organisations in a culturally competent manner;
- Proven highly developed interpersonal skills emotional intelligence and excellent engagement skills
Must Have or Willing to Obtain:
- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
