Pay for contracted classified employees is distributed once/month on the last business day of the month. Pay for employees who work less than full year is spread through August. Questions concerning pay processes may be directed to the Personnel Office.

Job Description: Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Job Classification: Unrepresented Professional Technical
Responsible to: SLP Team and Director of Student Support Services
Work Year: 180 Days / 7.50 hours/day
School Year (start date August 2025
General: Assists SLPs with speech therapy.

Position Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:
SLPA certificate. High school diploma or equivalent previous experience with children grades K12 and experience with special needs population preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before parents staff and students. Bilingual skills desirable.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate a personal computer and related software. Knowledge of special education procedures to maintain appropriate confidential records. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
