2025 Tennis Summer Camp Opportunities & YearRound Instructors
Calling all athletes tennis enthusiasts and individuals interested in both yearround and summer camp programming! The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking teamoriented creative and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with kids to create quality tennis experiences for youth in the Beaverton Area.
This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to improve their leadership skills while working with youth both yearround and in our summer camp program. Many of our staff return year after year contributing to a positive and dynamic environment. Selected candidates will receive THPRDs standard tennis camp training in June before the summer camps begin.

Job Openings:
Summer Tennis Camp: Instructor 2
As a Summer Tennis Camp Instructor youll plan prepare and lead engaging tennis activities for camp participants. Youll guide campers through skillbuilding exercises run group games and ensure a fun energetic atmosphere throughout the day. Help campers improve their tennis skills while fostering teamwork and a love for the sport!
Pay Rate Range:$20.68 $23.30 hourly (based on experience)
Schedule:MondayFriday 9:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. tentatively starting June 17th and ending August 23rd 2025.
YearRound Tennis: Instructors 3 & 4
Want to teach tennis all year long These instructor roles focus on leading lessons group games and athletic activities for both youth and adults. Schedules may include daytime evening and weekend shifts.
Experience:24 years of teaching experience.
Pay Rate Range:$22.82 $25.69 hourly (based on experience)
Tentative Schedule:MondayFriday 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. with opportunities for daytime and weekend shifts.
Requirements:EitherRSPA Certification or PTR.

Requirements:
- You must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Enjoy working with kids teens and/or adults
- Comfort and ability to work outdoors rain or shine.
- For YearRound Positions (Instructor 4: Either RSPA certification or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) required.
- Current First Aid and CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Job Classification Status:
- PartTime Variable (PT): Work an average of fewer than 20 hours per week with less than 1560 hours annually.
- Seasonal: Work up to 40 hours per week for a maximum of six consecutive months (Summer Camp positions).
- PartTime Benefits Eligible (PTB): Work an average of 20 to 29 hours per week yearround and qualify for benefits enrollment.
