Job Title: MYP & IGCSE Mathematics Teacher
Location: Good Shepherd International School Ooty Tamil Nadu
Department: Mathematics
Reports to: Head of Department Mathematics
Job Overview
Good Shepherd International School a premier international educational institution is seeking a dedicated and experienced MYP & IGCSE Mathematics Teacher. The ideal candidate will bring a strong passion for mathematics innovative teaching methodologies and the ability to inspire students in an international school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning & Delivery:
- Design and deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons for MYP and IGCSE students.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Integrate technology and reallife applications to enhance student understanding and interest in Mathematics.
- Design and deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons for MYP and IGCSE students.
Assessment & Evaluation:
- Design administer and evaluate formative and summative assessments aligned with MYP and IGCSE standards.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students helping them set goals for academic improvement.
- Prepare students for IGCSE and MYP assessments ensuring they achieve their potential.

Student Engagement & Support:
- Foster a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
- Offer additional academic support to students through remedial classes study groups or personalized guidance as needed.
- Identify and address individual learning challenges and collaborate with the schools Learning Support team if necessary.

Collaboration & Professional Development:
- Work closely with colleagues to develop and enhance crosscurricular connections.
- Participate in departmental meetings training sessions and collaborative planning activities.
- Stay current with developments in Mathematics education and international teaching practices through ongoing professional development.

School Community Involvement:
- Participate actively in school events extracurricular activities and initiatives.
- Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication and scheduled parentteacher meetings.

Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Teaching certification or equivalent professional qualification.
- MYP & IGCSE teaching experience is highly desirable.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the MYP and/or IGCSE level.
- Experience in an international school environment is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of MYP and IGCSE Mathematics curricula.
