We are seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our team based in Bothell Washington. The Payroll Analyst role is a fantastic opportunity for a financial professional who enjoys a dynamic work environment and thrives on making a tangible impact.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be a key interface between AGC Biologics employees. This roles primary function is the processing of the biweekly payroll.

The Payroll Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of payroll in a multistate environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing with an understanding of federal/state/local tax laws and their impact on employee wages. This individual should be a critical thinker with strong problemsolving abilities and excellent communication skills to interact with employees and address payroll inquiries. Additionally the candidate should be proactive in offering suggestions for process improvement and able to handle payroll adjustments and issues independently.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the biweekly payroll and managing employee inquiries. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is comfortable managing multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Payroll Processing & Compliance:

  • Perform quality reviews of payroll.

  • Administer the Pay Cycle process (Verify Calculate & Preview) ensuring all payrollrelated tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Oversee garnishment order administration and compliance with relevant laws.

  • Interpret payroll and time & labor laws policies and practices to ensure compliance in a multistate environment.

  • Process payroll adjustments including retroactive payroll leaves terminations and other exceptions.

  • Audit payroll data interfaced from the payroll system and ensure consistency with salary and tax status.

  • Maintain and audit payroll & timekeeping records to ensure adherence to established standards.

  • Complete payroll cycle audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy

Employee Support:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payrollrelated questions and issues.

  • Address inquiries with professionalism and accuracy ensuring employees are wellinformed about payroll policies and procedures.

  • Provide clear communication and support for payrollrelated employee issues offering solutions when needed.

  • Process Improvement & Suggestions:

  • Actively identify and suggest process improvements to optimize payroll accuracy and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes and employee satisfaction.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must be a highly motivated creative problem solver with the proven ability to use independent judgment and initiative to identify problems and recommend solutions.

  • Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must be detailed and organized with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and show flexibility with changing priorities.

  • Solid knowledge of payroll & time systems including multistate tax calculations salary prorations bonus payments severance payments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS in Business Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • 3 years of payroll processing experience.

  • Demonstrated skills in providing frontline customer service acting with customers in mind and using discretion patience etiquette and professionalism.

  • Ability to complete assignments and tasks autonomously or by collaborating effectively within a team setting.

  • Proven track record in managing prioritizing and organizing a high volume of assignments and competing tasks with meticulous attention to details.

  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with vendors supply chain personnel operational personnel and other managers.

  • Proficiency with MS Office including advanced skills in MS Excel

  • Workday experience a plus
