Assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.
Specific Duties
Assist the Body Shop Parts Manager by receiving parts orders from GM and Subaru as well as outside vendors.
Will verify all parts by invoice including quantities and correct part numbers. The helper will check all parts on the order for damage and mirror match part to damaged parts if applicable. If a part is damaged or incorrect the helper will inform the Body Shop Parts manager to reorder damaged parts or contact the vendor about missed parts.
Will be in charge of keeping the parts room clean and organized. Making sure all parts racks and large parts are labeled correctly. They will assist the repair technician with bringing new parts to the technicians stall when asked.
Will assist with keeping paint and body material stock levels full including assisting with the weekly PB&E stock order.
Will be available to assist with other Body Shop operations when not engaged in their parts assignments
disposing of body shop waste
assisting technicians with clean up
Other tasks as assigned.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
