Job Description:
- Guggenheim Securities Information Management (GSIM) is seeking an experienced Network Director.
The IT Network Director is responsible for overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of the organizations computer networks. This leadership position involves strategic planning resource management and ensuring the networks reliability and security.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead and manage the IT network team including network administrators engineers and support staff.
- Develop and implement network policies procedures and best practices to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Ensure the reliability security and scalability of the organizations network infrastructure.
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of network systems.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Manage the network infrastructure budget including resource allocation and cost control.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network technologies and practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in network operations.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing IT network teams and operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Indepth knowledge of network infrastructure network hardware and network security.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCIE CCNP or CISSP are a plus.
- Experience with network design and architecture including LAN WAN and wireless networks.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
- Knowledge of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP DNS DHCP and VPN.
- Experience with network security practices including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in information technology Business Administration or a related field (masters degree preferred).
- 10 years of relevant experience.
Work Location
- Currently this role is expected to be in the New York office Tuesday Thursday.
