We are seeking an Information Security Specialist to support United States Air Force (USAF) Delta 4 Security Support. This effort provides Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security management support to Delta 4 which operates and maintains Overhead Persistent Infrared satellite constellations and GroundBased Radar systems for strategic and theater missile warning missions.
Headquartered at Buckley Space Force Base Colorado Delta 4 maintains additional operations across multiple locations nationwide and internationally. This position requires onsite presence Monday through Friday during core business hours and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities include supporting the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) in managing SCI security programs providing security services to military civilian and contractor personnel overseeing Foreign Mission Partner processes and maintaining current and future Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) accreditations at Buckley SFB the 2nd Space Warning Squadron at Schriever SFB Office of Special Investigations Detachment 801 and associated tenant organizations.
Responsibilities
- Manage TS networks and ensure controlled access and update to an SCI system.
- Patching updates and other system administration related tasks on TS networks such as GWAN JWICS VIAS Blue/Red SIS and Defense Red Switch Network or equivalent.
- Obtain accounts for personnel with sufficient need and mission impact to SOC or OBAC.
- Receive inspect approve and record all equipment entering and exiting SCIFs in accordance with appropriate regulations such as DoDM 5105.21 M1.
- Ensure equipment is installed and removed in accordance with all SCI regulations and Tempest policy.
- Verify IA requirements are satisfied at an acceptable physical and logical architecture specifications level of risk.
- Set up and manage JWICS Video Teleconferencing and future SCIF VTCs at assigned locations.
- Ensure assigned SCIF personnel understand and comply with established datatransfer procedures.
- Oversee governmentdirected procedures for clearing purging declassifying and releasing system memory media and outputs usually via destruction or system overwrite.
- Review and provide recommendations for SCI automated information system user accounts.
- Serve as a trusted agent for JWICS account management based on need and mission impact.
- Assist with configuring Intrusion Detection Systems and Access Control Systems ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Recommend and ensure compliance with SOPs for SCIFs reporting any noncompliance per DoD 5105.21 M1.
- Support Information Assurance responsibilities including SCI AIS accreditation baseline maintenance and network connectivity architecture.
- Maintain and update AIS baselines and network diagrams for all SCIFs.
- Review physical and logical architecture specifications to ensure IA requirements meet acceptable risk levels reporting issues as necessary.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education technical training or related work experience in security management intelligence or related field.
Clearance:
Experience:
- Minimum 35 years of relevant experience working in Special Security Offices Special Access Program environments or SCIFs
- Demonstrated knowledge and direct experience applying DoD AF and ICD security regulations guidelines and policies.
Technical and Specialized Knowledge:
- Defense Intelligence Information System and Scattered Castles
- Air Force Space Commands Security Clearance Information and Badge System
- Experience managing visitor access and clearance verification processes.
- Understanding of TEMPEST standards and physical security requirements applicable to AIS within SCIF environments.
- Experience in maintaining and updating SCIF accreditation packages including geographically separated SCIFs.
- Ability to conduct or assist with personnel security management including periodic reinvestigation processes and clearance eligibility assessments.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills for managing personnel security databases and documentation.
- Proficiency in security systems such as:
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Automated Information Systems
- Detailoriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with military personnel government officials contractors and visitors.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks ensuring compliance with stringent security policies and procedures.

- Special Program Security Certification
- Security Certification (desirable for ITrelated AIS security support roles)
The annual salary range for this position is $ 85000 $135000 which aligns with the salary band for this job classification. Compensation decisions are based on various factors including but not limited to skill set experience training security clearances licensure certifications and other business and organizational needs.
