Job Description
Summary:
Repairs and maintains electrical systems and equipment for production machinery and equipment ensuring efficient and safe operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery including control panels circuits motors and sensors.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and servo systems to control machine operations.
- Install and modify electrical wiring components and systems for new equipment or facility upgrades.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to understand system configurations and troubleshoot issues.
- Adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical maintenance technicians and other team members to ensure coordinated maintenance and problemsolving.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree (A. A. or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance Mechatronics or equivalent from a twoyear college or technical school;
- Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment including multimeters oscilloscopes and ammeters.
- Must have a strong understanding of safety protocols including lockout/tagout electrical safety hazard communication and emergency response procedures.
- Experience with industrial machinery and equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- PLC programming software
- Hand tools for general maintenance
