Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Outreach Specialist to join our team. The Outreach Specialist will play a critical role in expanding our reach and connecting with individuals families and communities in need of behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills a strong understanding of mental health issues and a proactive approach to outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage target populations including individuals families schools community organizations and healthcare providers.
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources including primary care physicians social workers counselors and other healthcare professionals.
Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community about mental health resources treatment options and stigma reduction.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create outreach materials including brochures flyers and social media content.
Organize and participate in community events health fairs and other networking opportunities to promote behavioral health services.
Provide information and support to individuals seeking mental health services including assistance with navigating insurance coverage and scheduling appointments.
Track and report outreach activities including outreach efforts community engagement and referral sources.
Stay informed about industry trends best practices and emerging issues in behavioral health to inform outreach strategies and initiatives.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to behavioral health outreach.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in psychology social work public health or a related field (Masters degree preferred). Relevant work experience will be considered.
Previous experience in outreach community engagement or related field preferred.
Knowledge of behavioral health issues including mental illness substance abuse and traumainformed care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations and effectively convey complex information.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
