Job Description
TITLE: EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
QUALIFICATIONS:As set by state certification authorities; Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
REPORTS TO:Director of Special Services; Assistant Director
JOB GOAL:Help students having communicationdisorders achieve communication thatwill enable them to derive success from theDistricts educational programscommensurate with their capabilities whilepermitting satisfaction to themselvesand benefit to society.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individual and/or group therapy for identified students in the ESY program.
- Initiate maintain and continually updatetherapy data related to identified short and long term goals and objectives.
- Reviewsrelevant case files including school and health records.
- Guide assist and consult when needed with principalsteachers other school personnel and parents.
- Plan and participate in IEP meeting as needed.
- Completes reports and other school related paperwork asrequired at or before the time requested.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with coworkers.
- Accepts the responsibility and arrives punctually for activitiesand duties as assigned.
- Maintains appropriate emotional stability physical healthpersonal appearance and personality.
- Maintains order in therapy sessions in a fair and just manner.
TIMES/DATES: Mon.Thurs. 7:30 am 12:00 pm; June
EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
