Job Description

Position Summary
This is a repost. Previous applicants are still being considered and need not reapply. The School of Law is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Director of Development to foster close meaningful relationships with alumni and secure major philanthropic support for the School. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Development you will manage a portfolio of approximately 150200 major gift prospects across North Carolina and select outofstate regions.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
The skill to motivate and engender the confidence of prospects and donors. Ability to interact effectively in a comprehensive environment such as a research university setting; and exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and performance as evidenced by collaborative teamwork initiative critical thinking good judgment consistency of output timeliness of followthrough and strength of written and verbal communication skills. Travel and some weekend work are required.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated successful major gift fundraising or transferrable experience preferred. Strong preference for applicants with knowledge of and experience at Carolina.
